The 9th Conference Archaeological Research & New Technologies (ARCH_RNT), organized by the Laboratory of Archaeometry of the University of the Peloponnese will take place in Kalamata, Greece,
on 8–10 October 2026. The ARCH_RNT Symposia focus on the use of New Technologies in the Archaeological Research (Archaeometry, Computing Technology, Conservation and Restoration) notably
with the presentation of interdisciplinary approaches, special case studies and research on archaeological material and assemblages. Within the framework of the conference, a special session dedicated to recent archaeometric research on Peloponnesian pottery is also planned. Please check here the 1st Circular,

Two sessions in the 32nd Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists which will take place in Athens, 26–29 August 2026, may also concern Hellenistic pottery. The General Assembly of IARPotHP held in Brussels on October 8, 2025, decided to hold the next conference of the Association (IARPotHP 8) in 2027 in Romania (Constanța or Bukarest). Further information will follow.

We are very sad to announce the death of Ioannis Akamatis yesterday 4th of March 2025 (1949-2025), a pioneer researcher in the study of Hellenistic pottey in Macedonia and Professor Emeritus at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
