We are very sad to announce the death of Ioannis Akamatis yesterday 4th of March 2025 (1949-2025), a pioneer researcher in the study of Hellenistic pottey in Macedonia and Professor Emeritus at Aristotle University of Thessaaloniki.

The General Assembly of IARPotHP (October 11th, 2023) elected a new Board and decided to hold the next conference of the Association (IARPotHP 7) in 2025 in Brussels.
The sixth conference of IARPotHP took place in Catania and Syracuse on October 9th-12th. The subject was “New Theories and Methods for old Pottery: Innovating Perspectives on Hellenistic Ceramics”. Read more here.
